Jeremiah 32:40

And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

In the year 2004, God established this covenant with my family: “I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.” This covenant was and is between God and my family and also between God and you. A covenant is God’s promise and an agreement between God and His people. And, we are the covenant people and covenant seekers while He is the covenant keeper. God established a covenant with Noah, Abraham and other men of God in the Old Testament. Today He is making this everlasting covenant with you too.

God’s covenants are true and will come to pass. This special covenant draws you close to Him so that you will not depart from Him. He will not turn away from you, but will put His fear in your heart and will continue to do good for you. Bank on this eternal covenant and praise Him for His goodness to you at all times.

The cry of my heart is never to move far from Him. There were times in my life when I felt I was not as close to God as He wants me to be. The Lord God did not allow this to continue and He just intervened at the right time and pulled me close to Him. Right now His divine intervention is in operation in my life. Although the battle seems tough to me, He has comforted me with Jeremiah 32:27 “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” Yes, for the Lord God what seems tough to you and me is just a piece of cake. After all, the battle is not yours, it is His. He can never lose; He is always victorious and so are you in Him. He can transform a tough situation to be a blessing to you and many others. He is doing that right now in my life. I know the end result is a vessel shaped for the glory of God. Are you ready to grab this covenant and live for the glory of Lord? He reigns forever!

Psalm 91:9-16

Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Psalm 91 is one of my favorite Psalms and this whole week I found new meaning in these verses and they uplifted me beyond measure. I am sure the Lord will use these verses today to bring encouragement your way. If you have been wondering where the Lord is in all your struggles and troubles, you are at the right place. Read on and be blessed whether you are in Christ or not!

If you have made Jesus the ruler of your life, He is your refuge and no evil shall befall you, neither shall any plague come near you and your dwelling. The Lord commands His angles to keep charge over you, in all your ways. These angles will bear you in their hands and guard you from dashing your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the adder. You will trample the young lion and the dragon under your feet. The Lord will deliver you because you have set your love upon Him. He will set you on high as you have known His name. Your prayers will be answered and He will be in your troubles and will deliver you and honor you. You will be satisfied with long life and He will show you His salvation!

You are not going to stay in your current troubles and trials forever. God will show you a way out and He is in control of you and your life. He, who has formed you in the palm of His hand, numbered the hair on your head and positioned the stars in the sky and named each star, how much more will he be concerned about you when you are in a tough trial? Know therefore that the Lord will walk you through your current struggles and soon you will be a blessing to many and bring glory to God in the highest.

If Jesus is not yet the Lord of your life, please take a moment to commit your life unto Him, for He is waiting for you to enter the Kingdom of God. The only way we have access to God and the Kingdom of God is through Jesus His only son. Turn to Him and seek His forgiveness for we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. He will readily forgive you and you can be one with Him forever and be on the victory path to heaven, no matter where you have been in the past. You not only have the key to heaven but will also be delivered from your struggles and gain eternal peace and happiness right here on earth. Amen!

Psalm 91:4
“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”

To know and realize that the Lord God is covering us with His feathers is so comforting. Where else can we hide but under His all mighty and everlasting wings. The Lord will never leave us without His protection. His truth is our shield and buckler.

God’s promises are completely true and will never fail. Hebrews 13:8 says “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Great is His faithfulness to us humans. Lamentations 3:21-23 says “This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Even when we turn away from Him, He is watching us and makes a way for us to return to Him and be protected by Him. In Revelation 22:13 we read “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last”. God, who created the earth and everything in it, is the same God in us today and forever. He is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. Let us go with God and sense His covering in our lives!

Hebrews 13:5-6

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

We may be lacking some necessities in our life. Psalm 37:4 says “Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” But let us not covet and let our conversation also be without covetousness. Being content with what we have is highly essential for it says in I Timothy 6:6 that “Godliness with contentment is great gain.” Think about the many people that lack what we have, we certainly will run to God with a thanksgiving heart!

The Lord God promises to never leave us nor forsake us. We should hang on to this promise and delight in Him for He is with us at all times and more so when we are in trouble. When we stay focused on the Lord, we can boldly say that He is our helper and we will not fear what man does to us.

Psalm 46:1 clearly says “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” This particular verse had a profound effect on me yesterday and I could sense God’s covering on me. He holds us close to His bosom and sustains us when all we sense is the enemy’s attack over us. Let us take courage in knowing that the Lord is our helper. The victory is ours in the matchless name of our Savior Jesus!

James 1:12
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Yielding to temptation is easy but enduring temptation is tough but the Word of God says “Blessed is he who endures temptation.” Temptation does not come from God. James 1:13-14 clearly says “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.”

Genesis 39 speaks about the temptation that Joseph endured. This temptation existed for quite some time to Joseph but God provided a way to escape from the temptation. Even for us God makes an exit plan from our temptation as it says in I Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” But when He shows a way out of your temptation, follow Lord’s plan, without resisting, even if it seems too tough at that time. The exit plan for Joseph was that he was put in prison. Genesis 39:20-21 says “And Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison. But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.” In the prison, the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. From there Joseph went on to become a ruler of Egypt as it says in Genesis 41:41 “And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.” Joseph was blessed immensely because he loved the Lord and endured the temptation!

Yes, blessed is the man that endures temptation. When he is tried he shall receive a crown of life that is promised to him that loves the Lord. Are you ready to resist the temptation that you are facing in your life today? If you resist the temptation and endure it, you are sure to receive the crown of life. May the merciful Lord help us all to resist temptations in our life!

Proverbs 3:5-8

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

The last few weeks I have been seeking God to help me trust Him completely. It is easy to rely on our own understanding and go with the logical conclusions based on our situations and circumstances or somebody’s understanding of our situation rather than trusting God. But in Proverbs it is clear that we should not lean on our own understanding. There is a reason why we should not rely on our understanding. We do not know everything and we do not understand everything. If we think we know everything, we are just fools. Lord God’s understanding is ultimate. So, trust in the Lord with all thine heart. Again I say we should put our whole-hearted trust in the Lord God!

In all our ways let us acknowledge God and He shall direct our paths. In other words, we should express our gratitude to our Maker at all times and He will direct our life and put us on the right paths. Let us not take anything for granted. If we are alive today and are blessed with food, water, clothing and shelter it is merely His grace and mercy on us. We should not be wise in our own eyes. Let us fear the Lord and shun from evil. When we fear the Lord, He will expose any evil in us and will also help us to depart from it. By doing this we shall be blessed with health both in our body and bones.

This is my prayer for all of us: “Lord, help us to trust you and acknowledge you in all our ways. Lord, make us realize that our understanding is very limited and direct our paths and prevent us from the attacks of the enemy. Bless us with health at all times. Amen!”

Isaiah 64:8

But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

We are the clay in the hands of the potter who is our Lord. The Lord God molds us, makes us and shapes us for His glory just as a potter molds, makes and shapes a beautiful pot out of the clay. The clay has to go through a whole process in the potter’s hand before a beautiful pot is formed. The clay neither knows what to expect nor its purpose in the end but the potter knows pretty well what his goal for the clay is. He turns the pottery wheel and uses his hands and fingers to shape up and also gets rid off the unwanted particles during the process.

In the same way, the Lord God is fully aware of what He wants to shape us up as and what His plan and purpose for our life is. He knows how to transform us in order to fulfill His goal for our life. We are the work of His mighty hands. He uses His hands and fingers to shape us up. During the process He also cleanses us and removes any dross from our hearts. The end result is a beautiful pot that the Lord God uses as He wants to for His glory!

If you are going through a tough trial in your life, take courage and know that the Lord is shaping you up according to His will for a special plan and purpose for your life. And, you are just in His mighty hands and trust the Lord while He makes you and shapes you according to His desire.

II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

There is a sense of spiritual dormancy and lethargy among us Christians today and that includes me too. Although we seem to be busy trying to do ministry work, getting organized for meetings and planning next steps, we are in a state of spiritual slumber. God’s desire for us is to humble ourselves, pray and seek the face the Lord. He is waiting with keen eyes to see us at His feet and keen ears to hear our prayers. It is very important to have the right relationship with the Lord by communing with Him and going to the throne of grace with a humble heart as the psalmist does in Psalm 139:23-24. “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” When we do this, the Lord reveals the wicked ways in us and cleanses us and makes us whole and leads us in the everlasting way. He will hear from heaven, and will forgive us of our sins and will heal our land. Do we want to miss His forgiveness and healing in our lands?

Now is the time for us to turn to the Lord and seek His face with a humble heart. The Lord had forgiven the Ninevites, protected the Israelites from wicked Haman’s plan and gave victory to Israelites many times when they sought Him with a whole heart. All through the Word of God we see instances where the merciful Lord’s heart melts when the people turn to Him with humble and repentant hearts. It is now our turn to humble ourselves, pray and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways. Yes, His mercy endures forever!

II Timothy 1:6-7

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

It is easy to be caught up in our feelings of fear, anxiety, disappointment and hopelessness rather than believing and trusting the Lord God. Do not allow the Satan to trap you in such feelings. In James 4:7 we see that “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” When we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil we will be more than conquerors in Christ. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind!

Spirit of power is the same spirit with which Christ defeated the death; the Spirit of love is the same love that is shown for the mankind on the Cross of Calvary; the Spirit of a sound mind is the same sound mind with which Christ overcame the temptations on this earth. Let us take hold of these wonderful gifts so freely bestowed on us by God through His Son Jesus Christ, the Word of God and the Spirit of God. Let us cast all our anxieties on the Lord as it says in Philippians 4:6-7 and our hearts will be filled with the peace of God. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Psalm 103:8-12

“The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”

The Lord God is merciful, gracious, slow to anger, will not always chide and will not keep His anger forever. The Lord is good and will forgive us when we call upon Him. Psalm 86:5 says “For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.”

He has not dealt with us after our sins and He has not rewarded us according to our iniquities. Our sins and iniquities should have separated us from the love of God but the Lord God has not done that. Instead He has given us access to Him through His one and only son Jesus Christ. In John 5:24, Jesus says “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” What a love the Father has towards His children that He chose to send His only son for our sake!

As high as the heaven is above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. In Proverbs 1:7 we see that “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” God has made us wise enough to fear the Lord. Not only that, as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. We are only eligible for eternal damnation but Lord God has eternally separated our sins from us and has embraced us with His eternal love and grace.

Our part is to repent and receive the salvation and walk with Christ for the rest of our lives. To repent is to be filled with godly sorrow based on who we are in the world so that we can become what God destined us to be in Christ. II Corinthians 7:10 says “For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.” May the loving and gracious Lord fill our hearts with godly sorrow so that we may repent of our sins and embrace the free gift of salvation through His son Jesus Christ!
